Hello everyone and welcome back ! Today we are making yummy small brown lentils, these are really high in protein. In our south asian culture these lentils are usually served with fresh rice and salads. The key is to have best tasting lentils …The south asian stores usually have big size lentils available , there is definitely a difference in taste so be careful what and where you are buying from. Smaller lentils are the best , I bought mine from amazon. These are Non-GMO Project Verified , 100% Non-Irradiated, Certified Kosher and grown right here in the USA. I will post the direct link below if you are interested , I hope you enjoy this recipe and don’t forget to watch the video below.
While you wait for water to boil –Add washed brown lentils to the water
Add spices
Once water boils , cover the pan on medium heat
Let it cook for 30-40 min
Check occasionally and stir the lentils.
After 30 min check lentils if soft means you are done.
For gravy its up to you .. if you want less water and more softer lentils let it cook more until more water evaporates , If you think you wanted more gravy you may add hot water to create extra gravy.
Hey everyone! Today I bring you a very delicious recipe of canned tuna. This is a great way to add fish to your diet while also enjoying a great taste. Fish is important since its high in protein and provides essential nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D , which your body definitely needs to function properly. All food available at the grocery store is not healthy , you have to make sure what you are buying is healthy. Depending on where the fish is coming from farm/ocean it can definitely make an impact on your health so its important to choose wisely. We have to make sure no GMO’s are involved and fish is low in mercury and coming from ocean instead of farms , therefore I recommend and used Wild Planet Skipjack Wild Tuna (Light Tuna).
Wild Planet Skipjack Wild Tuna is pole and line caught which means its highly selective and other marine animals stay unharmed while each fish is caught individually by fishermen. Hello Everyone , Its time to try a new recipe and today I am sharing my recipe of Daal Gosht aka Mutton With Gram Lentil. This is a great recipe for meat lovers and people who love healthy food because gram lentil ( also known as chana daal / split chickpeas ) has tremendous benefits. Majority of lentils are high in protein and also a great source for vitamins and minerals. The sum of protein that exists in lentils is up to 35%, which is equivalent to red meat, fish, poultry as well as dairy products. I hope you try and enjoy this recipe.
